1. Information Collection

NextShot is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data, browsing history, or page content, except as explicitly described below for the core functionality of the extension.

2. Screenshot & Image Data

• Local Processing: All screenshots are captured and processed locally within your browser. We do not send any image data to our servers.
• ImgBB Uploads: When you explicitly choose to "Upload & Share" a screenshot, the image data is sent directly from your browser to ImgBB (a third-party image hosting service) via their API.
• No Background Uploads: Images are ONLY uploaded when you click the upload button. We never automatically upload your captures.

3. Permissions Usage

We require specific permissions to function, which are used solely for the following purposes:

• activeTab: To capture the visible area of the current tab when you activate the extension.
• scripting: To display the annotation tools (drawing overlay) on top of the web page.
• clipboardWrite: To allow you to copy images or upload links to your clipboard.

4. Third-Party Services

We use ImgBB for image hosting functionality. When you upload an image, it is subject to ImgBB's Privacy Policy. We do not control how ImgBB stores or manages uploaded content.

5. Data Retention

We do not retain any of your data. Once you close the extension overlay or refresh the page, any temporary data (like the screenshot preview) is cleared from your browser's memory.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
